I am currently undertaking a multifaceted program of research that will shed new light on the interactions of scientific authority with racialization dynamics by exploring the mobilization of science for antiracist purposes. One product of this research will be a book entitled Antiracism and Science in the United States that follows long-term changes in science’s political meanings and possibilities by examining how various historical actors have arrayed scientific arguments against the assumption of fixed racial inequalities.
